Introduction
Medicol Congress 2023
We invite you to the Olympic Museum in Lausanne for a Congress with an innovative theme: Hallux Limitus Fonctionnel (HLF). Thanks to the support of the French Association of Foot Surgery (AFCP) and its president Dr. Barbara Piclet, we have this year the pleasure and honour to welcome a large panel of European specialists who will share their experience on this little or poorly known subject.
HLF is an often undiagnosed clinical entity despite its involvement in a range of painful physical problems that are not limited to the foot. Balance and performance are affected as well as early wear and tear of certain joints or the occurrence of knee or ankle sprains.
The treatment of HLF involves several specialists from complementary fields in a therapeutic and preventive approach. While conservative treatment is always proposed as a first-line treatment, surgical treatment gives good results thanks to highly functional arthroscopic surgery. Confirmed specialists will present the different approaches and propose solutions appropriate to each person's practice.
From anthropology to treatment in the practice, we invite you to take an original journey around this pathology through interactive exchanges. An international round table will close the event with the presentation of numerous selected cases.
